Md Mokhlesur Rahman, Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration (MoPA), has been withdrawn from his post. He has been transferred to the Planning Commission as a member.

According to a notification, signed by Deputy Secretary Mohammad Rafiqul Haque and issued on Sunday by the Senior Appointment-1 Branch of the Ministry, the directive has been issued in the ‘public interest’ and will take ‘immediate effect’.

Mokhlesur Rahman, an officer of the 1982 batch of the BCS Administration cadre, was appointed Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration in August 2024, following the fall of the fascist government during the July mass uprising.

At that time, Mokhlesur Rahman was appointed in his place on a two-year contract basis. However, he was removed from the Ministry of Public Administration after 13 months of his appointment.
