Family members of Inquilab Moncho’s Sharif Osman Hadi, who was critically injured in a gun attack, met Chief Adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus on Saturday morning, December 13.

Osman Hadi’s brother Abu Bakr Siddique, sister Masuma, and Inquilab Moncho’s three leaders – Abdullah Al Jaber, Fatima Tasnim Juma, and Md Borhan Uddin – met the Chief Adviser at the State Guest House Jamuna.

Chief Adviser’s Assistant Press Secretary Suchismita Tithi shared this information.

Stating everyone is trying for Osman Hadi's best treatment, Prof Yunus said the government will arrange his treatment abroad if necessary, considering his physical condition, Suchismita Tithi quoted the Chief Adviser as saying.

Hadi’s sister Masuma said he must survive because he has many tasks to do for the country. “You (government) will have to ensure the safety of the July warriors’ lives; otherwise, it will put the country’s independence and sovereignty at risk.”

Sharif Osman Hadi, an independent candidate for the Dhaka-8 constituency, suffered critical injuries after two assailants on a motorcycle fired shots at his head on Box Culvert Road in the capital's Bijoynagar area after Juma prayers on Friday, December 12.

Hadi is now receiving treatment at Evercare Hospital in the capital.
