However, at a recent event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, he appeared to lose his temper in an unexpected situation on the stage of the Joy Awards 2026. Irritated by the unprofessional behavior of an award recipient, King Khan was compelled to take the person’s phone, sparking widespread discussion on social media.

In the viral video, Shah Rukh Khan can be seen presenting an award to a winner on the Joy Awards stage. At such a sensitive and formal moment, instead of properly receiving the award, the individual suddenly pulled out a phone and attempted to take a selfie with Shah Rukh.

To maintain the dignity of the event, Shah Rukh immediately took the phone from the fan’s hand. Many netizens were surprised to see this strict side of Shah Rukh, who is otherwise known for happily posing for photos with fans.

However, a closer look at the video suggests that although Shah Rukh momentarily lost his temper, his intention was to maintain discipline and decorum at the event. After taking the phone, he calmly asked the two fans to look toward the professional photographers and then posed with them for official photographs with a smile.

In other words, he did fulfill the fans’ desire to take pictures with him, but he did not approve of breaking protocol by taking selfies on stage. On social media, many Shah Rukh fans have commented that taking selfies while receiving an award on stage is highly unprofessional, and that such unprofessionalism naturally invites a firm response.
