The High Court has dismissed a writ petition seeking suspension of the 50th BCS preliminary examination during the national election period, clearing all legal obstacles to holding the test as scheduled.

As a result, the preliminary examination will be conducted simultaneously across eight divisions on Friday morning. The court observed that there is no legal or constitutional barrier to organizing the examination during the election period.

The ruling has brought relief to both the Public Service Commission and thousands of candidates, ending uncertainty just a day before the exam.
