Interim Government Launches ‘Shubhechha’ App and ‘Druto Ticket’ Platform to Enhance Public Services

The interim government has launched two new digital platforms, “Shubhechha” and “Druto Ticket,” to strengthen engagement with expatriates and ensure transparency in public transportation services.

The platforms were presented to Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus at the State Guest House Jamuna on Tuesday by senior officials, including ICT Special Assistant Faiz Ahmad Taiyab and ICT Secretary Shish Haider Chowdhury.

According to the Chief Adviser’s Press Wing, the “Shubhechha” mobile application will enable expatriate Bangladeshis to access more than 100 government and civic services. These include passport services, consular assistance, investment information, social protection, and grievance redress mechanisms.

The “Druto Ticket” platform aims to centralize ticket sales for buses, trains, and airlines. It is expected to reduce irregularities, overpricing, and middlemen, especially during peak travel periods such as Eid festivals.

Professor Yunus thanked the officials involved and said the main objective was to provide hassle-free services to citizens. He described the initiative as a beginning and emphasized the need to expand it further.

He also expressed hope that the next elected government would continue and strengthen the project.

Experts believe these digital initiatives will help reduce service-related harassment, increase transparency, and enhance expatriate participation in national development.

If implemented effectively, the platforms could mark a major step toward modernizing Bangladesh’s public service delivery system.
