Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami has announced its new central leadership for the 2026–2028 term following a meeting of its Central Majlis-e-Shura.
The meeting was chaired by party Ameer and Leader of the Opposition in Parliament, Dr. Shafiqur Rahman. Senior leaders participated both physically at the central office and virtually from different locations.
Several leaders have been appointed as Nayeb-e-Ameer, while Mia Golam Parwar has been named Secretary General. Seven leaders were appointed as Assistant Secretaries General.
The party also formed a 21-member Central Executive Council and an 88-member Central Working Committee, including 21 female members. Additionally, a five-member central election commission was constituted, and regional directors were appointed for 14 zones across the country.
According to party leaders, the newly formed committee aims to strengthen organizational activities and expand political engagement nationwide over the next two years.
