PM holds meeting on closed factories

DHAKA, May 04, 2026 (BSS)- Prime Minister Tarique Rahman today held a meeting with officials of concerned officials of the textile ministry and stakeholders on the closed factories under the Textile and Jute Ministry.

The meeting was held at the Prime Minister's Office in Bangladesh Secretariat this morning, Prime Minister's Additional Press Secretary Atiqur Rahman Rumon said.

He said the meeting discussed various issues, including the way for reopening of closed factories.  
Textiles and Jute Minister Khandaker Abdul Muktadir, Prime Minister's Political and Industrial Affairs Adviser Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, State Minister for Textiles and Jute Shariful Alam, Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) Executive Chairman Chowdhury Ashiq Mahmud Bin Harun, among others, were present.
