A proud new chapter has begun for Bangladesh women's football. The official draw for the AFC Women's Champions League 2026–27 Preliminary Stage has been completed, and Bangladesh's representative, Rajshahi Stars FC, has learned its opponents.
By participating in this prestigious competition, Rajshahi Stars FC will not only represent the club but will also carry the responsibility of showcasing the pride, potential, and growing strength of Bangladesh women's football on the international stage.
Backed by Nabil Group, Rajshahi Stars FC—the champions of the Bangladesh Women's Football League—will make history as the country's first representative in an AFC women's club competition.
According to the draw, Rajshahi Stars FC has been placed in Group A of the Preliminary Stage alongside East Bengal FC of India, hosts Sabah FA of Malaysia, and Rovers FC of Guam. All Group A matches will be played in Malaysia from 17 to 23 August.
Rajshahi Stars FC has already put in place a comprehensive preparation plan that meets international standards. Over the coming weeks, the club's technical staff, players, and management will focus on intensive training, friendly matches, and all necessary preparations to ensure the team is fully ready for the tournament.
The club extends its sincere gratitude to the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF), its players, coaching staff, club officials, supporters, and all stakeholders for their continued support. The club also seeks the prayers and encouragement of football fans across Bangladesh.
