MASTUL Foundation Implements Multifaceted Initiatives for the Development of Lalmonirhat

With a focus on long-term development, MASTUL Foundation is implementing various social initiatives in Lalmonirhat, in the northern part of Bangladesh.

The organization is running long-term programs centered on ensuring safe water, livelihood improvement, environmental protection, and strengthening community capacity. To meet the basic needs of local people and ensure sustainable development, MASTUL Foundation is installing community tubewells in different areas of Lalmonirhat. These efforts are aimed at guaranteeing access to safe, clean drinking water. In addition, the foundation is implementing income-generating activities and supporting small entrepreneurs to help disadvantaged and vulnerable families become self-reliant.

To address environmental concerns and the adverse effects of climate change, the foundation is also conducting tree-planting programs in various parts of the district. By involving local communities in these initiatives, MASTUL Foundation is playing an important role in building a green, safe, and livable environment for future generations.

Recently, the ongoing development activities of MASTUL Foundation were visited by Honorable Minister Asadul Habib Dulu, Minister of the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief of the Government of Bangladesh. During the visit, he toured different projects, held discussions with local people, and took part in the foundation’s ongoing activities alongside its volunteers.

Commenting on the work, Kazi Reaz Rahman, Founder and Executive Director of MASTUL Foundation, said: “Our main goal is sustainable change for people. We believe that it is not just about temporary support; rather, by strengthening people’s capacity, ensuring safe water, protecting the environment, and creating self-reliance, we can build a prosperous society. Our initiatives in Lalmonirhat are all part of that goal.”

Abu Mohammad Kamruzzaman, Additional Executive Officer of MASTUL Foundation, added: “We plan to expand our development activities even further in Lalmonirhat in the future. With the support of local administration, volunteers, and the general public, we are working to deliver the benefits of development to more people in the district.”

MASTUL Foundation is a non-profit, non-political humanitarian organization registered with the NGO Affairs Bureau under the Prime Minister’s Office of Bangladesh. For over a decade, it has been serving underprivileged people through humanitarian and development initiatives. Its key activities include emergency relief during the floods of 2022, 2024, and 2026, dignified burial services during the COVID-19 pandemic, nationwide tree plantation campaigns, the “Zakat Self-Reliance” project, tube well installation, mosque reconstruction, and the “Mehmankhana” initiative, which provides free daily meals in Dhaka. The Foundation has also delivered humanitarian aid to Türkiye, Gaza, and Sudan, and operates a madrasa, shelter home, and orphanage in Hazaribagh, Dhaka. The National Board of Revenue (NBR), donations, Zakat, and Sadaqah made to MASTUL Foundation are eligible for income tax rebates and qualify as tax-deductible contributions for donors
