MASTUL Founder Meets Malaysian PM at NGO Conference

Kazi Reaz Rahman, Founder and Executive Director of MASTUL Foundation, held a courtesy meeting and high-level exchange of views with the Honourable Prime Minister of Malaysia, Anwar Ibrahim, during a recently held International NGO Conference.

The meeting focused on strengthening cross-border humanitarian cooperation, promoting the meaningful role of emerging youth leadership in social development, and exploring strategies to expand sustainable empowerment initiatives for marginalized and underserved communities.

The International NGO Conference brought together representatives of leading international NGOs, civil society organizations, and policymakers from around the world. At the global platform, Kazi Reaz Rahman highlighted MASTUL Foundation’s innovative approaches and future strategic plans in Bangladesh, particularly in the areas of education, orphan rehabilitation, emergency healthcare, livelihood creation, and poverty reduction.

During the exchange, particular emphasis was placed on the importance of greater collaboration among humanitarian organizations across borders and on developing sustainable, community-centered approaches to social development. The discussion also highlighted the potential of young leaders to contribute more effectively to humanitarian action and inclusive development.

Speaking about the international conference and the high-level exchange, Kazi Reaz Rahman, Founder and Executive Director of MASTUL Foundation, said, “Having the opportunity to exchange views with a visionary leader like the Prime Minister of Malaysia on the global stage is a significant milestone in our humanitarian journey. MASTUL Foundation has been working for more than a decade to improve the lives of disadvantaged and marginalized communities in Bangladesh. Its initiatives include education for underprivileged children, integrated rehabilitation and support for orphaned children, free ambulance services at the national level, emergency humanitarian assistance, and livelihood and self-reliance programs aimed at helping vulnerable families achieve sustainable economic independence.

Through its zakat-based self-reliance initiatives and other livelihood programs, MASTUL seeks to transform vulnerable individuals and families from aid recipients into economically self-reliant members of society. The Foundation also undertakes humanitarian responses during emergencies and crises, both in Bangladesh and internationally.

The participation of MASTUL Foundation in the global conference and the opportunity for high-level engagement are expected to create new avenues for international cooperation and knowledge exchange, further strengthening the Foundation’s efforts to expand its humanitarian and social development initiatives beyond national borders.
