Newly appointed Administrators of 12 City Corporations including Dhaka

Mayors of 12 city corporations including Dhaka have been removed and Administrators have been appointed in their place.

Two notifications were issued in this regard from the Local Government Department on Monday (August 19).

It said, in application of sub-section (1) of the Local Government (City Corporations) (Amendment) Ordinance, 2024-25(a), 12 officers were appointed as administrators until further orders.

Among the appointed administrators, Local Government Department Additional Secretary Sher Ali has been appointed to Dhaka South City Corporation and Local Government Department Director General Mahmudul Hasan has been appointed to Dhaka North City Corporation.
