Anisul, Palak shown arrest in three murder cases

Former law minister Anisul Huq and former ICT state minister Zunaid Ahmed Palak were shown arrest today in three murder cases filed with city's Badda police station.

Former IGP Abdullah Al Mamun was also shown arrest in two separate cases, including murder case, filed with the same police station.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Md Zaki al Farabi passed the order in presence of the accused this morning as police filed petitions seeking to show the trio arrest in connection with multiple cases.

Earlier, they were brought to the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court from jail.

Anisul was arrested from the city's Sadarghat area while he was trying to flee on August 13. The next day, police detained Palak from city's Nikunja residential area.

On September 3, Mamun was arrested from Uttara area in connection with a murder case.
