The Chief Advisor of the interim government, Dr. Muhammad Yunus, will sit for another round of dialogue with political parties.

This session will begin on Saturday, October 19, at 3 PM at the Chief Advisor's official residence, Jamuna. As in previous rounds, Jatiya Party (JaPa), the main opposition party of the last parliament, has not been invited.

The invitees for this round include the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP), Gonoforum, the Nationalist Allied Coalition, Jatiya Party-BJP (Partho faction), the 12-Party Alliance, National Liberation Council, Labor Party, and several other groups.

Leaders from some of the invited parties have shared that their focus in the discussions will be election-centric reforms and the electoral roadmap. They plan to present specific reform proposals to the Chief Advisor. Additionally, they will address issues such as controlling commodity prices, removing Awami League allies from the administration, seeking justice for mass killings, and withdrawing false and fabricated cases against opposition leaders and activists during the Awami League regime.

Earlier, on October 5, Dr. Muhammad Yunus held meetings with BNP, Jamaat-e-Islami, and several other parties. Today's dialogue aims to engage with the remaining parties.

There was significant speculation that Jatiya Party, led by GM Quader, would be invited this time. However, following protests by coordinators and supporters of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, the invitation to the party was ultimately not extended.
