Interpol Issues Red Notice Against Sheikh Hasina

Interpol has issued a Red Notice against former Prime Minister and Awami League President Sheikh Hasina.

Mohammad Tajul Islam, the Chief Prosecutor of the International Crimes Tribunal (ICT), disclosed this information on Sunday (December 22).

Hasina is accused in several cases filed over the July-August genocide.

An Interpol Red Notice is today's closest instrument to an international arrest warrant. Interpol circulates notices to member countries listing persons who are wanted for extradition.
