Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration Dr Md Mokhlesur Rahman today (Jan 9) said that all candidates recommended for the 43rd BCS, except those involved in criminal or anti-state activities, will be appointed following re-investigation.

He said: "Those expelled from educational institutions for criminal or anti-state activities, or found guilty of other crimes during the investigation, will not be appointed. However, others will proceed through the necessary processes and receive their appointments."

Mokhlesur Rahman disclosed the matter while speaking to reporters at the Secretariat in the capital.

Dr. Rahman emphasized the significance of the appointments, saying, "For many, this is a dream fulfilled—providing a livelihood, enabling marriages, and meeting parental aspirations. We aim to expedite the process, and a summary will be sent to the Chief Adviser and President within two to three days."

He further said that individuals cleared of investigable offenses by relevant organizations will be deemed eligible for appointment.

Addressing questions about the dearness allowance for government employees, Dr. Rahman said that the Ministry of Finance is actively working on it.

"Two meetings have already been held, and it will be implemented very soon," he said.

He also confirmed that the allowance will be integrated into the basic salary starting next year, with pensioners included. Regarding the timeline, he said, "It will be implemented within this fiscal year, by June 30."
