In a significant gesture of social responsibility, Nabil Group of Industries has launched a large-scale food assistance programme, providing essential supplies to 50,000 underprivileged families during the holy month of Ramadan. Alongside this humanitarian effort, the group has also introduced a programme offering its products at reduced prices throughout Ramadan.
The initiative was inaugurated at the Nabbil Group Agro and Feed Centre in Rajshahi by Chairman Md Jahan Baks Mondol and Managing Director Aminul Islam.
Speaking at the event, Aminul Islam emphasised the spiritual and communal significance of Ramadan, noting that the month is a time for self-purification and empathy. “We do not see this as an opportunity for excessive profit-making,” he said. “Nabil Group has always prioritised the well-being of the nation and its people, and this initiative is part of that commitment. We aim to support at least 50,000 families with essential food supplies.”
He also reaffirmed the company’s business ethics, stating that, unlike many in the market who raise prices during Ramadan, Nabil Group remains dedicated to making goods more affordable. “We are offering our products at reduced rates so that lower and middle-income families can access them without financial strain,” he added.
Chairman Md Jahan Baks Mondol echoed this sentiment, highlighting that Ramadan is a time for unity and shared responsibility. “This initiative ensures that the less fortunate have access to food, while our discounted sales strategy helps ease the burden on struggling households,” he said. He also assured that Nabil Group would continue such efforts in the future.
Nabil Group of Industries, a key player in Bangladesh’s food and agricultural sector, has long been engaged in milling rice, pulses, and flour, as well as importing soybeans and wheat. Over the past decade, the company has solidified its position as a leader in the country’s food industry.
