The BNP resumed discussions with the National Consensus Commission for a second day to share its views on reform proposals submitted by five commissions. A five-member BNP delegation, led by Standing Committee member Salahuddin Ahmed, is attending the meeting.

The talks began at 11:00 am on Sunday at the LD Hall of the National Parliament Building. This session follows an earlier round of discussions held last Thursday, which was adjourned after a full day of deliberations.

The BNP delegation also includes Standing Committee member Nazrul Islam Khan, Chairperson's Adviser Md Ismail Zabihullah, Executive Committee member Barrister Ruhul Quddus Kajol, and former Secretary Abu Md Moniruzzaman Khan.

Ahead of the meeting, Salahuddin Ahmed said that key issues such as the constitution, electoral system, Anti-Corruption Commission, administration, and judiciary will be discussed. He emphasised that BNP is participating with transparency and sincerity, marking the conclusion of this phase of dialogue with the commission.

The meeting is being chaired by Professor Ali Riaz, Vice President of the Consensus Commission. Other commission members present include Iftekharuzzaman, Justice Emdadul Haque, Badiul Alam Majumdar, Safar Raj Hossain, and the Chief Advisor's Special Assistant, Monir Haider.

The Consensus Commission has already completed initial talks with 12 political parties. The ongoing meeting marks the second day of its discussions with the BNP.
