The Bangladesh Police is set to begin its annual 'police week' today (29 April) at the Rajarbagh Police Lines Auditorium in Dhaka. This year's event, shortened to four days, will conclude on May 2.

The Chief Adviser will inaugurate the programme and distribute medals to police members in recognition of outstanding work after August 5. Throughout the week, police units like SB, CID, RAB, Tourist Police, PBI, and ATU will make presentations. Advisers and secretaries from various ministries will also engage in discussions with police officials.

The event aims to boost public trust by enhancing logistical support and research initiatives, aligning with the police's goal of becoming more people-friendly.

Key highlights include the IG's badge presentation, a senior officers' conference, a Punak Rally, an Ananda Mela, and the closing ceremony with awards for the Police Women Welfare Association.
