CA Yunus to visit Chattogram tomorrow

Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus will visit his hometown Chattogram tomorrow (May 14) for the first time since taking office as head of the interim government.

During his daylong visit, he will attend several official events, including the 5th convocation of Chittagong University as chief guest.

He will also visit his ancestral home in Bathua village, Hathazari.

Prof. Yunus will begin the day at Chittagong Port with a meeting involving port and trade officials.

Later, he will unveil the foundation stone of the Kalurghat Bridge over the Karnaphuli River at the Circuit House.

He will also be briefed on key city issues such as waterlogging and traffic congestion and will hand over land documents to the Chattogram National Heart Foundation.
