Asif Mahmud Sajib Bhuiyan, Advisor to the Ministries of Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives, and Youth and Sports, has announced that initiatives are underway to establish new missions in five more countries. This move aims to involve expatriate Bangladeshis in the development process.

In a verified Facebook post by Advisor Asif Mahmud Sajib Bhuiyan, it was stated that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has undertaken the initiative to establish new missions in five countries to strengthen political ties with Europe and South America, expand trade, and engage expatriate Bangladeshis in the development process.

This decision is in light of the ever-changing geopolitical environment, international economic realities, and the country's graduation from LDC status.

Advisor Asif Mahmud stated that these five countries include Dublin, Ireland; Oslo, Norway; Buenos Aires, Argentina; Frankfurt, Germany; and São Paulo, Brazil.
