A court on Thursday (July 24) sent four people to jail in a case filed over storming into the secretariat, vandalizing property and attempting to murder law enforcers during a violent incident on July 22, reports BSS.

The four accused are Ashikur Rahman Tanvir, Jefri Abhishek Shikder, Abu Sufian, and Shakil Miah.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Jamshed Alam passed the order after police produced them before the court and sought their detention until the completion of investigation.

The four were arrested earlier in the day from the city's Shahbagh area.
