The Central Intelligence Cell (CIC) of the National Board of Revenue (NBR) conducted a raid at the Motijheel corporate branch of Pubali Bank in Dhaka on Wednesday (September 10) morning and seized a locker belonging to former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

NBR’s Public Relations Officer Md Al Amin Sheikh confirmed the matter to Jago News, saying, “The locker at the bank’s Motijheel corporate branch has been seized. Further details will be shared later.”

According to sources, locker number 128 under the name of the former Prime Minister was found at Pubali Bank’s Sena Kalyan Bhaban branch in Motijheel. Of the two keys to the locker, one remains in Sheikh Hasina’s possession. A CIC team seized the locker based on intelligence reports.

An NBR official said that, as per Bangladesh Bank directives, the locker will be opened following due procedure.
